From time to time, I hope to add small tips and insights here based on my own experience solving research problems–both as a memory aid for myself, and so that others with similar research problems might find examples to draw upon. The first of these is a walkthrough of how to scrape election data from multiple websites using R; in this case, the data is precinct-level election results (from Russia’s 2018 election) spread out across 80+ regional election commission websites.
